Tash On App Concept
Following the ‘indie scene’ trend that has meant moustaches are ‘cool’ (we can now find them on every conceivable personal item); ‘Tash On’ is a logical extension of this onto various media platforms. The IP is inspired by a drinking game of sticking a tash onto a television screen and drinking when it lines up – particularly amusing on the X Factor judges. So why not make this an official idea that can be monetised?
The audience is internet savvy; life is based around social networks. They are getting bored of serious traditional media – ‘Tash On’ allows ironic viewing, as they can change the tone and personalise viewing.
‘Tash On’ is based predominantly as a mobile app enabling users to play with content by adding moustaches to people on screen. It can be adapted to many platforms (e.g. computers, smart TVs). The website includes the FaceBook and Twitter feeds as well as a blog of users posting their funniest creations. The content can be expanded by using cameras in phones, computers and increasingly televisions to map audience faces. Their features instead of cartoons are composited – allowing the audience to literally become part of their favourite programmes.
